How It Works

The AI Analysis

AI evaluates each photo based on:

  1. Composition Quality
  2. Rule of thirds
  3. Leading lines
  4. Framing and balance

  5. Emotional Impact

  6. Facial expressions (genuine smiles)
  7. Eye contact and engagement
  8. Energy and emotion

  9. Technical Quality

  10. Sharpness and focus
  11. Exposure and lighting
  12. Color balance

  13. Subject Prominence

  14. Clear main subject
  15. Subject size in frame
  16. Background clarity

  17. Action & Moment

  18. Peak action (sports)
  19. Key moments (weddings)
  20. Candid authenticity

Result: Each photo gets a Purchase Likelihood Score from 0-100%

Prediction Categories

🔥 High Likelihood (70-100%)

What it means: Very likely to sell

Characteristics:
- Clear, sharp subject
- Great expressions (smiling, eyes open)
- Excellent composition
- Emotionally engaging
- Peak action or key moment

Your action:
- ✅ Feature prominently in gallery
- ✅ Prioritize for editing
- ✅ Consider higher pricing
- ✅ Use as gallery cover photo
- ✅ Showcase in email notifications

⚡ Medium Likelihood (40-69%)

What it means: Good chance of selling

Characteristics:
- Solid composition
- Good expressions
- Technically competent
- Interesting but not exceptional

Your action:
- ✅ Include in gallery
- ✅ Edit if time permits
- ✅ Standard pricing
- ✅ Good variety shots

💤 Low Likelihood (0-39%)

What it means: Unlikely to sell

Characteristics:
- Background/setup shots
- Duplicate angles
- Missed focus
- Poor expressions
- Low emotional impact

Your action:
- ⚠️ Consider excluding from gallery
- ⚠️ Don't spend editing time
- ⚠️ Use for personal portfolio only
- ⚠️ Delete if culling gallery

Note: Low prediction doesn't mean bad photo - might be artistic or portfolio-worthy, just unlikely to sell to clients.

Using Predictions Effectively

Order photos by prediction score:

  1. Go to gallery settings
  2. Enable "Sort by Purchase Prediction"
  3. High-likelihood photos appear first
  4. Clients see best sellers immediately

Result: Clients engage with top photos first, increasing conversion.

Strategy 2: Focused Editing Workflow

Edit high-prediction photos first:

  1. Export high-likelihood photos only
  2. Edit in Lightroom/Photoshop
  3. Re-upload edited versions
  4. Lower-likelihood photos stay unedited

Time savings: Edit 100 photos instead of 500.

ROI: Focus time on photos that actually sell.

Strategy 3: Tiered Pricing

Price based on prediction score:

  • High likelihood (70-100%): $30-40 per download
  • Medium likelihood (40-69%): $20-25 per download
  • Low likelihood (0-39%): $10-15 or exclude

Logic: Best photos command premium prices.

Result: Higher average order value.

Use high-prediction photos as covers:

  1. Filter gallery by "High Prediction"
  2. Choose best photo from top results
  3. Set as gallery cover
  4. More clicks = more sales

Understanding Prediction Accuracy

What Affects Accuracy?

More accurate when:
- ✅ Gallery has 100+ photos
- ✅ Photos are high quality (sharp, well-lit)
- ✅ Clear subjects (faces visible)
- ✅ Typical photography scenarios (weddings, sports, events)

Less accurate when:
- ⚠️ Gallery has <50 photos
- ⚠️ Artistic/abstract photography
- ⚠️ Non-standard scenarios
- ⚠️ Heavy filters/editing

Calibration Over Time

AI learns from YOUR sales:

After 5-10 events with purchase data:
- AI adapts to your client demographics
- Predictions personalized to your style
- Accuracy improves (60% → 75%+)

Example:
- Your clients prefer candids over posed
- AI learns this pattern
- Future predictions favor candids

Real Results from Photographers

Wedding Photographer (Amanda R.):

"Used predictions to create a 'Top 50' preview gallery for couple. They bought 38 out of 50 photos. 76% conversion rate vs my usual 20%. This feature pays for itself 10x over."

Sports Photographer (Jason L.):

"Stopped editing 500 photos per game. Now I edit only the top 100 predicted photos. Sales haven't dropped at all - actually up 15% because I can deliver faster."

Event Photographer (Maria K.):

"Event organizer hired me for 'Best 30 shots' package. Used high predictions to deliver in 2 hours instead of 2 days. Client loved them, booked me for 5 more events."

Tips for Maximizing Predictions

1. Upload Full Sets

Why: AI needs context to understand what's exceptional

Do: Upload all photos (even rejects)
Don't: Pre-cull before running predictions

2. Run After Culling (Optional)

Workflow:
1. Run Photo Culling first (removes technical rejects)
2. Then run Purchase Prediction on culled set
3. Get more accurate predictions on quality-controlled set

3. Trust the Data

Challenge your assumptions:
- Photo YOU love might score low
- Photo you thought was "meh" scores high

Why: AI trained on 100,000+ actual purchases, not artistic preference

Action: Test predictions for 3-5 events before dismissing

4. Use for Pricing Strategy

Dynamic pricing based on predictions:

Example pricing tiers:
- High (80-100%): $40
- High (70-79%): $30
- Medium (50-69%): $20
- Medium (40-49%): $15
- Low (<40%): $10 or free with package

5. Combine with Email Marketing

Email template:

"Your gallery is ready! Here are the top 10 photos our AI predicts you'll love based on analyzing thousands of similar events."

Include: Thumbnails of high-prediction photos with purchase links

Result: Higher click-through, faster sales.

Troubleshooting

Predictions Not Showing

Check:
1. Pro subscription active
2. Gallery has at least 20 photos
3. Photos finished processing (can take 5-10 minutes)

Fix: Refresh page after 10 minutes

All Photos Have Similar Scores

Cause: Gallery photos are very uniform (all similar quality)

Solution: This is normal - means all photos have similar sales potential

Action: Use other criteria (time, subject) to organize

Predictions Seem Inaccurate

Common causes:
1. Gallery <50 photos (insufficient data)
2. Highly artistic/non-standard photography
3. Client demographic doesn't match training data

Solution: Run predictions on 3-5 galleries, track actual sales, provide feedback

Providing Feedback

Help AI Learn

When predictions are wrong:
1. Note which high-prediction photos didn't sell
2. Note which low-prediction photos DID sell
3. Email support with gallery link

Result: AI improves for your specific client base

Advanced: Prediction API

Coming Soon: API access to predictions
