Welcome to SmarterPhoto Gallery! 🎉

This guide will get you up and running in 15 minutes.

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Click "Galleries" in the left sidebar
  3. Click "Create New Gallery" button
  4. Fill in the details:
  5. Title: Event name (e.g., "Sarah & Mike's Wedding")
  6. Description: Optional details for clients
  7. Slug: URL-friendly name (auto-generated from title)
  8. Privacy: Choose Public or Password-Protected
  9. Click "Create Gallery"

✅ Your gallery is created!

Step 2: Upload Photos (5 minutes)

Option A: Drag & Drop Upload (Easiest)

  1. Open your new gallery
  2. Click "Upload Photos" button
  3. Drag and drop photos from your computer
  4. Wait for upload to complete
  5. ✅ Done!

Option B: Browse and Select

  1. Click "Upload Photos"
  2. Click "Browse Files" button
  3. Select photos from your computer (can select multiple)
  4. Click "Open"
  5. Wait for upload to complete

Upload Tips:

  • ✅ File formats: JPG, PNG, HEIC
  • ✅ File size: Up to 50MB per photo
  • ✅ Batch upload: Upload hundreds at once
  • ✅ Progress tracking: See upload status in real-time

Step 3: Organize & Configure (3 minutes)

Set Cover Photo

  1. Go to your gallery
  2. Hover over a photo you want as the cover
  3. Click "..." menu → "Set as Cover Photo"

Set Photo Prices (Optional)

If you want to sell photos:

  1. Go to gallery settings
  2. Click "Pricing" tab
  3. Set prices:
  4. Digital Download (high-res)
  5. Social Media Size (1080px)
  6. Web Quality (smaller file)
  7. Click "Save Pricing"

Default pricing: $25 per high-res download (you keep 90%, we keep 10%)

Password Protection (Optional)

For private client galleries:

  1. Edit gallery settings
  2. Toggle "Password Protected" to ON
  3. Set a password (e.g., wedding2026)
  4. Save settings
  5. Share password with clients

Every gallery gets a unique URL:

Format: smarterphoto.gallery/gallery/your-gallery-slug

Example: smarterphoto.gallery/gallery/sarah-mike-wedding

How to Share:

Copy Gallery Link:
1. Open your gallery
2. Click "Share" button
3. Copy the link
4. Send to clients via:
- Email
- Text message
- Social media
- QR code (download from share menu)

Password-Protected Galleries:
- Give clients the link + password
- They'll enter password once, then access for 24 hours

Step 5: Get Paid (When Clients Purchase)

When clients buy photos, here's what happens:

  1. Client adds photos to cart from your gallery
  2. Client checks out via Stripe (secure payment)
  3. Payment processed automatically
  4. Client receives email with download links
  5. You get paid: 90% of sale price to your bank account

Payout Details:

  • Your cut: 90% of photo price
  • Platform fee: 10%
  • Example: Client pays $25 → You get $22.50
  • Payout schedule: Weekly to your bank (via Stripe)

Set Up Payouts:

  1. Go to Settings → "Stripe Connected Account"
  2. Click "Connect Stripe Account"
  3. Complete Stripe onboarding (bank details, tax info)
  4. ✅ Ready to receive payments!
